Frequently Asked Questions
How much does pest control cost?
Price varies from service to service, depending on the treatment required. Contact us for an obligation free quote.
How often should I have my property inspected for pests?
It is recommended to have a professional pest inspection conducted at least once a year to catch any early signs of pest infestations. However, the frequency may vary depending on your location and the specific pest risks in your area. If your home has a history of termites or you are in a high risk area, we recommend a six monthly termite inspection.
Are the pesticides used by your company safe for humans and pets?
Generally, most pesticides are pet friendly and safe around people. Our company follows strict guidelines and uses pesticides that are approved by regulatory authorities. We prioritise the safety of our customers, their families, and pets. Our technicians are trained in proper application techniques to minimise any potential risks. We use the same products in your home that we use in nursing homes, schools and day care centres. We will ask that you contain cats and dogs into a pet carrier or the garage or laundry of your home while the external pesticide spray is completed, and once dry, it is safe for your pet to return to the yard. The exception is to aquatic life. If you have a fish pond in your yard it is necessary that this be covered whilst our external pesticide treatment is taking place. Fish are very sensitive to pesticides. We will not spray near fish ponds or fish tanks.
How long does a typical pest treatment take?
The duration of a pest treatment can vary depending on the size of the property, the severity of the infestation, and the type of pest being targeted. Generally, a treatment session can take anywhere from 45 minutes to a few hours. Our technicians will provide you with an estimated time frame during the inspection.
What happens if it’s raining or forecast rain?
If it’s raining or looks like it will rain at the time of your appointment, we will contact you and arrange another suitable date to complete the service for you. If it rains shortly after we have completed an external pesticide treatment and the pesticide has not had a chance to dry, we will arrange another date to respray the external areas again for you. Some services are fine to continue with rain.
Do I need to vacate my home during a pest treatment?
In most cases, it is not necessary to vacate your home during a pest treatment. However, there may be specific situations or treatments that require temporary evacuation. Our technicians will inform you in advance if such measures are needed.
How long will it take for the pests to be eliminated after treatment?
The time required for complete elimination can vary depending on the type of pest, the extent of the infestation, and the treatment methods used. Some pests may be eliminated immediately, while others may require multiple treatments over a period of weeks. Our technicians will provide you with an estimate based on your specific situation.
How can I prevent future pest infestations?
There are several preventive measures you can take to reduce the risk of future pest infestations. These include sealing cracks and gaps in your home's exterior, keeping your property clean and clutter-free, storing food properly, and maintaining proper sanitation practices. Our technicians can provide you with specific recommendations tailored to your situation.
